It wasn't a bad experience at all. Food was really good, I asked for chocolate mousse cake which unfortunately wasn't available, however the other dessert chocolate dome wasn't bad either. Sheesha was relatively good but the ambiance was not too amazing. The manager/service was excellent.

I was in the mood for formal dining until i was dragged to this cafe called Cafe Downtown by my friends yesterday. I some what detest the entire cafe culture with uselessly loud music, the shady ambiance and the sheesha smoke. Not to forget the extra hyper kids or the table with boys who keep on staring at everyone. Well, as soon as i entered cafe downtown it was no different, the only difference was that the place was relatively empty and a little less shady. We got the menu which was less than perfect with spelling mistakes and some errors here and there.. Never the less i have to say, the food and service was great. I ordered the feta and sun dried tomato salad (was very hesitant) but it tasted perfect. The right amount of dressing and had its share of both feta cheese and sun dried tomato. Next I wanted something different, wasn't able to find the right item on the menu, so with the help of the floor incharge/manager (who was very willing and helpful) I got a chicken made, he was kind enough to suggest various sauces and the chicken turned out great. Exceptionally good to say the least! My friends ordered fajitas and burgers which were not only of reasonable quantity but once again tasted great as well. The lemonades on the menu were good (Peach and blueberry), but the problem that i am, i wanted a kiwi drink. I asked the manager to ask the bar tender to surprise me and he indeed did. He made some sort of a concoction which had an orange base with the sharpness of kiwi and i think he sizzled it up with club soda. None the less i loved the drink as well (although everyone had varying opinions on it). Overall, I'd give it a very high ranking in terms of food and service. Ambiance was rather confused, wasn't too sheesha cafe-ish (like zero, latte and its likes) nor was it too out of this world.

I did not know about Cafe DownTown till I saw it on Food Connection Pakistan. Well Done guys. Love the photography. the food is just soo tempting to ones eye. Keep up the good work! My cousins had gone to Cafe Downtown last week & they really enjoyed every bite out there!
