Damascus brought the Sheesha (a.k.a Hookah, Argeeleh or Hubbly Bubbly) from the strict patriarchal cafes of the Mediterranean to the Heart of Karachi in 1999, which has now become the most sought after treat in restaurants all over Pakistan.
The Sheesha is served with M'assel or honey & fruit flavored tobacco, which is milder than our traditional pure tobacco Hookah. M'assel is available in many flavors, apple, strawberry, mint, grape, cocktail, etc. Damascus takes special care by adding foil or plastic filters on the Mahsam or mouthpiece attached to the Barbeesh or hose. Most garden restaurants and coffee shops offer Sheesha today. However, the Damascus Sheesha remains unbeatable, which is proved by the patronage of our customers since our very start in 1999. The secret is not in the flavors that are used, but most importantly, the Tumbakji who prepares the Sheesha.
