Beautiful weather to enjoy went to Kolachi and was seated promptly at first floor over looking the sea. Ordered lahori fish and spicy prawns for appetizer. Main course chicken tarragon steak, Malai tikka, mutton karachi, whole fish, lebanese kebab, and charga. Food was served in 10 minutes flat and was throughly enjoyed. For desserts ice cream was late in serving. Another enjoyable visit with good food and amazing surroundings.

Had a party for 35 people at ground floor deck. As the guest started arriving appetizers of nachos and wings were served, wings were cooked but covered with chili sauce which was a bit excessive. Nachos were crispy topped with creme, meat and veggies. For dinner had fried fish, mutton karahi, malai boti and chicken reshmi. Food were served hot but with a delay between dishes and naans was served right from tandoor. Service was a bit slow and lacking. But everyone enjoyed the dinner, atmosphere, sea and breeze.

Food was really delicious and environment was superb. Kolachi Team you need to expand your setup if you can because it is quite difficult to wait for 20-30 Mins in waiting queues.

Sea shore.. cold breeze and dark night .. with some spicy food. All sum up into a very nice date or friends gathering. visited couple of times and enjoyed every bit of it.

Kolachi again this week !!! Had a company of 13 people ordered Mutton peshawari handi, chicken malai paneer, bar b cue platter, chicken tikkas, lahori fish, afghani boti with nan, paratha. Everything was served quickly but lahori fish was served late but was enjoyed throughly. Refilling of nan and paratha was a bit slow but our server was very attentive. For desserts kulfi and chocolate cake was spot on.

Great food and service. Had bar b cue and fried prawn with Caesar salad. For main course Peshawari handi, paneer chicken, malai boti, chops, and chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Really enjoyed sitting outdoors to enjoy company of family and enjoy best of kolachi.

Last night had Kolachi Special steak, chicken was grilled beautifully, onions cooked throughly, sauce was amazing with veggies. But i had ordered baked potato but got mashed ones, the waiter was kind and patient to change it for me but his politeness and delictable steak won me over and enjoyed it with mashed potato.

Went to Kolachi with my wifey. Great ambiance, friendly waiters and excellent service, though the place seemed a bit smaller than Sajjads. The food was delicious and the people at the reception were courteous. Earlier, I used to often visit and recommend Sajjads but due to a recent somewhat bad experience (Ultra slow service and not packing the expensive 90% leftover dish), I would always prefer Kolachi.

Went to Kolachi for a family dinner last weekend - this was my second visit (first visit was there opening week earlier this year) and things had improved quite a lot, it looks like the management took notice of the comments I made on FCPakistan in my review. We stuck to Pakistani dishs especially from the chef's home - mumtu, hunzai handi, Lahori fish and mutton saji which we had with garlic nans and transitional raita. They were out of deserts which was a bummer after an excellent meal. Will go there again.

Had dinner last night (22/9) surrounding was peaceful and mood mixed, was delighted to be seated quickly and enjoying mild breeze of the sea. Order taking was smooth and recommendations was very good. Food was season and spiced adequately, naans were refilled promptly. Only two drawbacks would be salad, raaita and chutney should be amply served. This was my second time there after Iftaar buffet and was enjoyed throughly even after paying the bill which was light.

It was nice first time experience, food was good speciall PANEER RESHMI, MAKNI, MEXICAN WINGS...PESHWARAI KARAHI is not good...
Customer service was poor. Our reservation was at 9 pm and we were waiting for all of our guests and they were keep bothering us that they have another reservation of 50 persons and we need to vacate that place.The management instead of focusing on short-term relations, they should focus on long-term relations with customer. We were 13 persons, but all 13 were from different families so ultimately 13 families who gonna think about this customer service next time they will plan dinner at Kolachi. We reached there at 9 pm exactly and you expect group of 13 people to leave that place in 1 hour, is it possible? 20 minutes waiting was for order...But alhumdullilah we are Pakistani so we just ignored their customer support as we were not going to change that place...

if r not bothered by the humidity and stench native to sea side... then its a nice place to have a dinner with friends/family... food is almost fine, prices very high, ambiance depending on the weather entirely!

Delicious food. Fast and courteous service. Beautiful decor and really nice ambiance. LOVED the experience. Was slightly disappointed that they don't accept cards yet, I had a big party and the bill was huge. It was out of pure luck that I had cash, considering there are no ATMs in the 2-mile radius!

I went at kolachi this sunday!! It was fully booked. I had to wait for 25 mins which was really frustrating but I must say all my waitingg paid fruitfull resultt coz in da end i got food beyond my expectations.it was jus 2 gud.i am in love with your seafood chowder and mexican wings.thumbs up !

Do Darya is becoming an extremely hip place for karachiites. every new restaurant has a better interior and very well deco. last night was a good experience for my eyes but not so good for the taste buds.

6 adults, went to kolachi for a good family night out. we were greeted well at the reception, and well seated. the service and the atmosphere was excellent. the chairs, lights everything was superb and lifted our expectaion band high for the food to come.

we ordered a

starter : some kind of mince chicken dumpling price Rs.240 or Rs.340
bbq platter ( the waiter said its good for 3 people) Rs.2800
chefs special for the night : hunzain handi or karahi
tursh salad, hommus
raita
nan different varieties
grilled lamb chops

it took 15 mins for the order to arrive, very quick service and was served hot. the turh salad and hommus were served first, very decent and excellent presentation and taste. made me crave for the more good to come food.

then came the starter dumplings, small serving but tasty. total 5 pcs.

the service was excellent, i mean i really felt for the waiters the good job they were doing.

lamb chops, over cooked, they weren't even lamb i think, i could taste the lamb flavor. also would like to mention, they were not chops, they were the other part of the rib cage. more like the backbone part. we could hardly find any meat on it. well that being finished we moved onto the BBQ platter. it was rich, it had almost everything, seekh kebab, chicken tikka, grilled prawns, chicken bihari. average taste of food. i would still prefer a BBQ tonight platter over this one.

just when were about to get done, someone from the crowd remembered we had ordered a chefs special, a hunzai karhai, we asked the waiter and he checked the order receipt, it was there but never got to our table, upon inquiring, i think they missed to order it to the kitchen and we had to wait 15 mins to get it. well that's enough time to rest after having some food and then the appetite dies.

the karhai arrive, they removed the foil from the lid, and came out this very disturbing smell of something gone bad. it certainly did have an effect on our slowly dying appetite. it just got finished. well we had ordered, we had to taste it. my dad was the first one, and his comments were that something had gone wrong with the cream that has been used in it. i had a try, well it wasn't tasting so bad, but it was smelling real bad and we couldn't eat it. it could also be because we had already had a gap in our dining that we were psychologically full in the stomach. and the brain just wasn't accepting the idea of more food. but im sure it was something wrong with the dish. so we called the manager, he called the chef. very familiar face. i think his name was noor. we asked him to check, and from him, he said the dish was perfect. we believed him, while i asked him if he could get the cream that he has used in the dish. instantly, he got it ordered in the kitchen it was on our table within minutes. and it wasn't the cream that was making the taste unpleasant. my idea was that it could have been the dry fruits used for flavor. some gone bad dry fruits, have rancidity in the oil they contain naturally. especially in the summers. well any way. our experience ended with some good very well chilled drinks, preferably coke and diet cokes.

over all i would say, the food, charcoal grill is much better, the atmosphere and the seating, kolachi is far far ahead of any restaurant on the beach. the check was about 6000, so for 6 people, it was high budget dinner with some unpleasant food. i would give it the good for money thumbs up, but i can pay for service which i received very well.

Kolachi ! Nicely built, comfortable chairs, neat and clean. Probably the best decor on that strip. Had an excellent experience for the first time on that strip. Food was pretty good and prices reasonable. Handi excellent Seekh Kebab a little dry but still good Malai Chicken excellent Nans - Superb. Had such good naans after a v long time The view was also great since our table was above the water and we could see the fish swimming. Was not expecting much to be honest since most of the time the service on all of the restaurants there is below par and the only saving grace is the view and the weather. However, the service was very quick and the number of staff was adequate. Did not have to wait for anything. Staff was friendly and courteous. Music was not loud at all. Open kitchen is a good idea. Washrooms were dry and clean which is amazing. Would definitely go there again.

Supreme Nachos--Very Good Seafood Chowder Soup--Bad(Charcoal is much Better) Cream of Chicken Soup--Average Malai Chicken--Good(Gaffar is better) Chicken Karahi --Very Good Mutton Karahi -- Very Good Beef Boti-- Good Nans-- Brilliant Atmosphere-- Best I have seen at any seaview restaurant. The chairs, tables, lights, the wood work is the best in the block. Music maybe a bit loud. Service-- Was good but since it is new the waiters were not up to mark about the items in the menu and having knowledge what is the difference between a Pina Colada and white colada

The food was amzing ! Specially the Kolachi karhai and the hunzai kabab. The ambiance was perfect and i respect whoever was the architecture for this place. The only sour point was the service, which was down right pathetic but then again, it hasnt been long since the place has been launched. Hopefully, once their service issues are resolved, it would surely compete with the most preferred eat out places in Karachi

Went there on the 26th with a group of 3 other gents, it was pretty busy given the launch of the restaurant just a couple of days before and the late time on a week day. The kitchen looked fully staffed with bodies in black uniforms and the ambiance is unique with wooden decking theme through out the establishment. We were greeted to my surprise with hand shakes and salams once on the deck, sat on the first floor lounge. The lounges felt good at first but it's a pain sitting and eating on them leaning forward towards the table and though the cutlery was on par, what was missing were proper napkins. We Order Chowzey and Mamto as entrees which turned out to the be the same thing with the difference of the sauce that comes with the stuffed and steamed dumplings. They were good and unique for what I have had before in Pakistan. While waiting for our food which took it's sweat time Chef Noor came around, we found him to be a personable guy but we could tell that he was inundated with running his first restaurant and was experimenting and not too sure of him self. I ordered the namkeen mutton chops, the chops and zombie as my drink. Friends ordered steaks and chicken karachi with garlic nans. The namkeen mutton chops looked like they belonged to a chicken rather then a goat and were quite bland in flavour. I tried the Karahi and that turned out to be good. Please be aware they do not take cards and not all staff will be aware of what is available in the huge menu the staff is learning this on the job. I believe they will improve in time and should reduce the number of dishes while focusing on traditional dishes, was told by Chef Noor that the Hunzai Kebab were the best dish on the menu so will keep it an option for next time. For now my rating will reflect my dining experience to date, with ample room for betterment with time.

Went there yesterday. The food is good and the price is reasonable too. The staff seemed a bit nervous.

WiFi is available but no one in the staff seemed to know the passkey for the Wifi.

The atmosphere is very good except for the exceptionally loud music.
