The steaks are some of the best in town. Appetizers specifically the nachos was simply dorritos with some cheese was a real disappointment and the ribs were ok. However, the steaks and burgers are very good.

I have been visiting this one in a time. These people have created a change in the traditional restaurant service of Pakistan e.g. Rude Cowboy styled waiters.Menu is shocking, its fun reading before making an order.Food has always been awesome. Salads were wonderful, specially the blue cheese was mouth watering over it. this is the only place where you are not recommended a well done Steak by its waiters.Drinks are good specially frozen Cappuccino was fabulous. It wont melt until the last drop. Overall its a wonderful experience.

The outlet location is just superb, as well as the ambiance. Its far better than their previously held zamzama outlet. The food i must say was too yummy. I ordered BBQ Whisky Burger, it was too delicious to handle. On the top, the falsa juice was also too good.

Gun Smoke is one of the first proper restaurants to open at Dolman Mall Clifton, as to cafes or deserts parlor. Never been to the original Gun Smoke joint in Zamzama, but can see the wisdom in the management’s decision to relocate to Dolman Mall. The one of a kind mall offers ample parking (a big problem in Zamzamma) and mall’s novelty alone is a big attraction guaranteed to increase diners for the restaurants there. I visited Dolmen Mall with the explicit purpose of dining at the newly opened Gun Smoke one recent weekend; This was my first attempt, it was made in a group of four, my friend, his wife, his younger brother and yes not to forget; yours truly. To my utmost shock were quite rudely barred entry by the man at the door, he asked as to wait for 40 odd minutes (time that we could not spear) although just behind him we could see a bunch of vacant tables. This man was dressed form head to toe in black as an executor and we felt like the victims. I think they were taking the whole western theme too seriously. Not giving up easily I made my way back just a couple of days later on a weekday, finding comfort in the numbers I moved up to the doors again, this time as a pack of six: four gents and two ladies. To my utmost surprise we were welcomed quite gracefully and were promptly seated. Someone in the management finally realized how to treat customer’s right! About time I say too! A decent sized bar door welcomes you into the spacious interior, all walls have dark paneling and shutter windows looking out into the mall, with guns (which looked quite real to me) mounted on hinges atop the windows. The vintage model planes, tanks, old automobiles and bright orange bikes with shiny trims hanging from the roof give the place a nostalgic yet funky look. The largest dry wall is covered in the iconic sun behind the rider’s scene and there are large cactus plants (albeit fake) in the center of the salad bar. One look and you can tell that this place means business; I could not help but get an appetite for red meat. The place was buzzing with people and the atmosphere had a relaxed soul. Our table was well lit and seating quite comfortable. We were served by one of the cow boys. The entire place follows the old western theme, waiting staff included all of them were smartly dressed up as cow boys, they all had old western hats, jeans, boots some supported shiny sheriff badges (these turned out to be the supervisors). This guy was very courteous, knew the menu and for fresh change, actually waited on us in heavy contrast too. Starters I skipped any starters, though my friend had ordered soup from salad bar he also made a salad and bread selections, the two soups available on the day were aptly vegetation roasted tomato and potato He has the roasted potato, the soup was reasonably. The combination of salads, with the mains is a novel idea. But the salad section was uninspired and lacked creativity. They can increase the variety specially the vegetables and bread selection. Mains Baby Back Ribs Diving straight into the main’s I ordered the Baby Back Ribs, they turned out to be quite nice. The char-grilled mutton chops with the overnight BBQ marinade proved to be juicy, succulent and quite scrumptious. I found the whole burnt ends and kick ass BBQ sauce quite mouth-watering, I would've happily eaten half a dozen plates. For Beverages I ordered the classic. Coke from the foundation with lots of ice, and our waiter even served us a free refill. My friend ordered the burger, he found it the coleslaw quite creamy and meat patty very succulent and tasty all in a good balance of white bun. Deserts There is not much to write about home on the deserts front, one expects a fuller menu after a hearty meal, the deserts on display at the salad bar were: Verdict Perhaps expectation turned out to be the best friend for Gun Smoke in this case; In this case I was expecting to be disappointed but was quite pleasantly surprised. Although it’s far from healthy food and the service started off a little off the mark I had worthwhile and well-rounded dining experience. My verdict - Gun Smoke will perhaps become one of my favorite casual dining places when I am longing for red meat: steaks, burgers and ribs.

It's a wonder Gun smoke can be placed under the category of 'Steak House' when they do not even serve their own signature sauces with steaks or burgers.I was unfortunate enugh to experience its dismally low level of dining last night and I ordered the River Whisky BBQ burger too but what was served looked nothing like the description in the menu.It mentioned a 'veal' sauce with onions but what reached me was our plain version of a factory-made BBQ sauce.Besides, they served it in cold buns that were stale and too small to hold the burger right and the salty flavour that's left on your palate after a bite of a meal that comprises of a plain, grilled chicken fillet; BBQ sauce, tomatoes and lettuce; and a generous sprinkle of salt and black pepper did nothing to find favour with me.But that's not it.I entered Gun smoke with high expectations after the number of people I've often seen waiting outside and reading the reviews here. The reality quite appalled me.Infact, except of the waiters dressed in sherrif and deputy's attire with badges are probably the only thing that might commend the place to anyone. The ambience was quite similar to that of Pizza Hut and not only because of a very similar looking salad bar,but also in terms of the setting and the furniture used. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable and the napkin on the table created in me a mad desire to immediately rush out of the place as it was a single torn piece of the low quality.yellowish toilet papers that are used. Hanging a couple of cars and trucks on the roof, having waiters dressed up and putting a few plastic cactus plants up for good measure doesn't quite justify the aura and feel of the West that was made to expect.Even the music didn't go along to the theme. One can think of a hundred ideas and possibilities of creating a western atmosphere with the seating, the music, the lighting and other details part of the ambience of a supposedly high-end restaurant as Gun Smoke. It was necessary for me to put up such a detailed review cause there are a number of highly mistaken views mentioned below. Clearly people have probably stopped expecting amazing and creative food even from the well- known places in Karachi otherwise the burgers here would'nt be called 'yummy' if the quality of food has ever be experienced at Roasters. for instance. Just another something to add, the quality and range of bottle sauces on the tables alone should give anyone a very good idea of the kind of food to expect at Gun smoke if they ever chanced to visit it.I certainly wouldn't recommend it. I'm definitely never going near that place to fork a couple of thousands into the fire ever again.

I have to agree with Munawar. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the Dolmen Mall branch or with Gun Smoke in general, but most likely I'm not going to give this place a second chance after the horrible experience I had. The food was uneatable, the atmosphere atrocious, and the service average at best for a restaurant that is supposedly high end (apart from their absurd prices I don't think anything else is). The burgers me and my friend ordered were identical apart from the vomit inducing teriyaki sauce and the generic BBQ sauce that you can find almost anywhere. Mcdonald and even KFC serve better fries and I don't think they even give you the option for mash potatoes or baked potatoes like Roasters. Most importantly though, the bread was stale! I actually felt nauseous after I forced myself to eat this stuff because I paid so much. Apart from the horrible food, the service left a lot to be desired. The seating arrangement and the entire atmosphere is not to my liking. They literally had napkins that are used in bathrooms, and even at that, you only get one. Would not recommend this place at all. Save your money and try out another place. TL;DR : Gun Smoke = DO NOT WANT!

Worst dine in experience ever, I went to your Dolmen Mall Branch, and ordered steaks for me and my friends, although the service was good but the quality of food was worst then anything I ever had in my life. The steaks were uncooked and tasteless... Even the burgers were stale. I am so disappointed that I would never go to gun smoke and never recommend anyone to go there at all.

I will proabably write a detailed review later but for now will mention that I did enjoy my meal and company last nighat at Gun Smoke, it was pretty busy for wednesday but we were lucky to be seated promptly unlike our last encounter just a few days back. The place is quite big and roamy with the tables well lit, there were model planes, tanks and cars hanging from the cieling and salad bar had some fake cactus to give a dry arid look, the staff were dressed up neatly as cowboys and aherifs and were quick to take and serve our orders with a nice personal touch to the service.

I ordered Baby Back Ribs circa Rs. 1000 which with the overnight marinade just made these baked ribs so succulent. The waiter was kind enough to get me a free refill and also some who brought a pot of hash mash, a movel concpet of searing the mash like a cream burlee without us even ordering :)

Great place for steaks, burgers and ribs. Desert is not thier speciality.

Waiters wearing sheriff and deputy badges; talking bit rudely to you; throwing or slamming your plates and glasses on your table; peanuts shell all over the floors; hee-haw music in the background; and TV screen showing rodeos. Well it looks as if we are in a restaurant in Dodge City or a western movie (City Slicker to be exact). When I first went their, I did not realize what was going on, but after a few minutes the ambiance set in - Gun Smoke is depicting a Cowboy/Western setting.........
