China Ming Featured Review by Bilal Khan
There are many Chinese restaurants in
Karachi which have gained popularity in a short period of time. Some of them
are quiet old and some are freshly born. Amongst the decade old restaurants
prevailing in Karachi, China Ming is amongst the premium Chinese cuisine based
restaurants that has stood the test of time. The success of each restaurant boils
down to only one bottom line: Quality of food. China Ming with the help of
adequate staff members and dedicated chefs have allowed it to become one of the
oldest and extravagant Chinese restaurants in town.
Mr. Mohammad Nasir Sheikh, the proud
owner of China Ming shared his views regarding the maturity of culinary
expertise prevailing in the market with team FCPK. Mr. Sheikh started his
career in the culinary world in the year 1994 where he worked as a chef in the
well renowned hotel, Pearl Continental (P.C) Karachi. He was passionate about
food since the start of his career and that passion led him to explore and
experiment with the different ingredients and the importance of adding the
right ingredients at the right time. But his journey did not stop there. Nasir
Sheikh always yearned of making people happy by enchanting customers with his crafted
cuisines, and it was then he made up his mind to start a restaurant of his own
by the name of China Ming; a Chinese restaurant as he was an expert in cooking
Chinese food. It has been nine years since this restaurant came into being, and
since then the restaurant has received bountiful appreciations of many.
As said by the owner himself, China
Ming has a bright future just because it follows the simple statistics of
making mouth-watering cuisines at extremely affordable prices that caters to all
classes of customers.
Being a bunch of food enthusiasts
always on a hunt of diversified gastronomical experience team @FCPK Pakistan’s
premier restaurant guide, decided to place an order. Craving for the fresh and
well cooked aroma of authentic Chinese food, the order was placed at 1 p.m and
the delivery was made within the specified time given by China Ming to us. The
food arrived piping hot which is always a good sign and integrates more towards
the flavour of food. The packing was very moderate but not a single bit of the
food was pouring out from it. Amongst the long list of cuisines on the menu, we
ordered Cheesy Rolls, Thai Prawn Chili Dry, Yung Chu Fried Rice & Kung Pao
Chicken.
With the whole table set with the scrumptious items ordered from their
elaborate menu, we decided to dig in without further delay. First in the list
were Cheesy rolls; soft, yummy with finger licking hot cheese inside, it made
perfect sense how the cheesy rolls got finished in an instant. Then we set our
eyes on the Yung Chu Fried Rice which was perfectly well cooked, not a hint of unsavoury,
added Thai Prawn Chili dry on top which made it absolutely irresistible. The
rice was steamy fresh and the prawn chili dry was a bit spicy, but nonetheless,
it made perfect combination; giving the taste buds something unexpected yet
exciting to experience. And last but not
the least; the Kung Pao Chicken was exquisitely made giving that authentic feel
of pure Chinese food that everyone looks out for.
Over all, the whole team really
enjoyed the gratifying taste of China Ming, although some of the food we
ordered was a bit spicy but amongst the most favourable dishes was the Cheesy
Rolls and the Kung Pao Chicken. China Ming has worked hard to deliver some of
the best Chinese cuisines and over the past years it has achieved in doing so.
