Date A Bon at Cinnabon This Ramadan
With hundreds
of Iftar and Sehri deals vying for our taste buds this Ramadan, it is
surprising to see the dessert corners sticking to the sidelines this season, especially
when your sweet tooth is longing for them to get on the bandwagon. So, it was
naturally a pleasure to hear that Cinnabon is up to something sweet.

Cinnabon, Inc. was founded in 1985 by father
and son team Rich and Greg Komen with its first bakery opening in Seattle. Cinnabon
Classic cinnamon rolls are made using the legendary Makara Cinnamon found in the
bark of cassia trees in the mountains of Indonesia. Since then, Cinnabon’s success
has been tremendous with rapid expansion across the world.
Cinnabon
finally opened up in Pakistan in 2010, with its first store in Lahore. Shortly
thereafter, and to the sweet luck of fans, inaugurated 2 branches in Karachi;
one in Dolmen Mall, Clifton and the other in Atrium Mall. Zaid Ansari, Area Manager for Cinnabon, says
that the response has been amazing so far and also added that Cinnabon plans to
open further locations in Karachi by end of the year.
Although
known for its world famous Classic cinnamon rolls - warm dough, filled with
legendary Makara Cinnamon topped with freshly made cream cheese frosting, other
treats include the Caramel Pecanbon, Chocobon and DateBon exclusively for Ramadan. All these treats go really
well with Cinnabon’s signature espresso and specialty beverages. Sipping on a
smooth latte as I write this!
Cinnabon
seems to be the only place around town geared to satisfy your sweet tooth this
Ramamdan. Not only has it introduced a special Ramadan Deal on CinnaPacks but
has also exclusively concocted up a date flavoured "DateBon" straight
out of the oven. Made with a carefully and freshly prepared date smear and
topped with caramel frosting and chunks of dates teasing your taste buds, the DateBon
