Posted on : March 08, 2012 Kaybee, Muhammad Ali Society The best eating place in Karachi - I have been eating their club sandwich and American steak since eons. I have had steaks ranging from KEG's steak to Brazilian steaks and trust me the steak they offer is more like a PASANDA, yet, its taste was way superior to the International steaks I have had. The best steak I have had atleast.
Posted on : March 06, 2012 Gloria Jeans Coffees - SMCHS Its an ideal place for "WANNABEES" - people who want to showoff the world by getting a coffee cup for Rs. 300 ($3.4). People in North America think twice spending $3.5 on a flavored Starbucks beverage. The price of coffee in a 20 oz cup is 1 cent, the cost of the glass container of is the actual price. I know this from my family who once tried getting a franchise of Dunkin Donuts in the US. Price of regular large coffee 20 oz at Tim Hortons is $1.92 Price of regular large coffee at Dunkin Donuts is $1.89 Prince of regular large coffee at Starbucks is $2.00 Why does GJ charge obnoxiously so high in a country like Pakistan??? My experience at GJ was bad - it took them 15 minutes to get me a regular coffee...If I have to drink a hot beverage I would rather sit on a charpayee at a local Dhabaa and drink tea for Rs. 20.

Posted on : February 22, 2012 Cafe Pyala Absolutely love the tea of Cafe-Piyala - their tea is addictive and the best tea I have ever had. Their parathas are good too but chayee is lajawaab...
Posted on : February 17, 2012 Cafe Blue Ginger I went to Cafe Blue Ginger with my wife and ordered a starter, entree and beverages. The taste of the food was satisfactory but it was WAY TOO pricy! The ambiance and decor was mediocre. The size of the restaurant was smaller than the size of my bedroom (not a masterbed). The decor of the restaurant, quality of the furniture was B-grade, the hangings and paintings gave a gloomy look with yellow lightning. The uncomfortable chairs reminded me of the chairs of government schools, the paintings and ceramic plate hangings would not be entertained in my drawing room. The bill for 2 people was 3000 plus 10% tip and Rs.100 to the valet ended up being Rs.3500. The service was good - the staff was polite, properly dressed up. FCPK team should have another rating option of "VALUE FOR MONEY". Value for money of the food I had should be somewhere way less than zero. I had heard that this was the BEST restaurant in Karachi, people please beware of the value for money for this restaurant. Hope you get benefit from this review.
